Hey beauties! Happy #weddingwednesday! Today, I am showing off Emily's autumn wedding on September 25, 2021 at Independence Harbor in Assonet, MA!
So first of all beauties, let's talk about how Emily found me! It's a really fun story! We are both wedding vendors and signed up for a holiday gift exchange in late 2020! Emily is the Owner of Of Lights and Letters and she makes beautiful wedding invitations! Her calligraphy is stunning and carefully created. You should check her out!
Anyways, back to how we met! Emily was my secret Santa for the holiday gift exchange! How fun is that! I received a beautiful gift: a gorgeous ornament with my business's name in stunning calligraphy! I was floored by this beautiful surprise!! How fun is that! She included a card and her social media handles, so I followed her and wrote a small thank you message in her DMs.
I mean look at how beautiful this ornament is!!
Fast forward a couple of months. Emily had been following me for a little while at this point and had resumed wedding planning, now that some of the covid restrictions were lifting! Definitely an exciting time for her! She reached out to me to inquire about my availability, and the best news is that I was available! Because of course if I am available, I want to be part of your special day! We decided to jump on a zoom call and chat for a little bit about the wedding and of course I had to gush about my beautiful ornament!!
Once our zoom call was finished, Emily was ready to book! Very exciting for sure.
Emily and her mother both opted to have wedding makeup previews and we had a lot of fun! Ironically, they hosted their Wedding Makeup Trial Experiences on the absolute hottest day in June 2021! It must have been almost 100 degrees outside and very oppressive humidity! My work was certainly going to be put to the test. Nothing to worry about for me though, because I was armed with the appropriate preparation products to create a long-lasting makeup look that would survive the climate that day. And by no surprise, it did!

They decided to make a day of it and went out for a mother-daughter dinner date after since they were glamorous and beautiful! How fun is that?!
The next month, Emily connected me with her hair stylist, Vanessa of Hair Blush Salon. We jumped on a call and worked out all the details of Emily's wedding day and coordinated a schedule to accommodate her group! I had 4 for makeup, and there were 8 for hair. Once we got the final draft down, it was time to send the Wedding Day Beauty Timeline to Emily for final approval. Everything worked out wonderfully!
Before we knew it, Emily's wedding day was here! Time certainly flew by!
It was an early start, as Emily was hosting a Brunch wedding. How fun is that! Hair and makeup started promptly at 6:00am to have Emily and her crew ready promptly for her 11:00am ceremony time. We had a lot of fun! There was coffee, music, and lots of laughs for sure! Time flew by while we beautified this sweet group!
We all really enjoyed ourselves and it was obvious Emily was having a blast! I love being part of wedding days for this very reason! Getting ready in the morning, no matter how early, is such a fun part of the day. It gives you, the bride, time to relax and have some breakfast, and a few laughs with your crew! And like I always say, don't worry about coordinating your timeline, because I have you covered.
