How To Properly Remove Your Makeup

Hey beauties! This is a question I get asked all the time! How can I properly remove my makeup?! I know everyone loves makeup wipes, but they aren't exactly the best way to remove makeup. Some wipes can be effective and remove most of your makeup, but you want to make sure you are washing your face after you use them. The other issue I have with makeup wipes is that you have to scrub your face quite a bit. This can be damaging on delicate skin, such as your eyes and lips. And honestly, one wipe doesn't remove it all. You may have to use several, which can be irritating.

So beauties, what is the best way to properly remove your makeup?

In today's blog, I am going to show you my simple routine on how to remove your makeup properly, that doesn't involve any tugging or scrubbing! While I do have (and use) makeup wipes, I've found my skin doesn't respond well to them. So I had to find a better way to remove my makeup. I like to use an oil cleanser to remove my makeup. Here's why: the oil helps break down and remove even the most stubborn eyeliner and eyelash glue! I've found that this is the easiest way to remove my makeup.

Here's my step-by-step photo break down of how I remove my makeup:

Take off those eyelashes first!

Use 3-4 pumps of oil cleanser.

Rub in between hands and pat onto your skin.

Massage into skin until you start to see the makeup melt!

Beauties, it really is this easy! I love using an oil cleanser to remove my makeup because it helps melt my makeup easily. It's also really moisturizing, so you will feel refreshed after washing off the cleanser! I recommend using warm water and massaging cleanser with wet hands, or a face cloth soaked in warm water. Understand that your makeup will come off onto hands or the towel, so make sure to remove the makeup from there, too!

Beauties, I am always here for you! I want to make sure you not only love your makeup, but your skin, too! You want to care for your beautiful skin so you look great whether or not you wear your makeup! And if you haven't already, book your FREE 15-minute phone call to see how I can help YOU!
