Hey beauties! Welcome back to Creative Contour by Carla™! On today's blog, I am discussing Microneedle Rollers and how they benefit your makeup look!
**A quick disclaimer: this is solely from my own experience of trying out a microneedle roller. I want to acknowledge that there are multiple ways to use this tool, and everyone will have different results, depending on their personal skincare needs and situation.**
Now that we have that out of the way, let's get into it!
So what is a microneedle roller? It is a skincare tool that has tiny needles on a roller. Essentially what happens is when you roll the needles over the skin, it creates tiny pricks. Those pricks are so tiny, you won't see them with the naked eye. By creating the tiny pricks, you will stimulate your skin to heal them. When your skin heals them, it essentially creates collagen.
Basically, what you are doing is inspiring your skin to create collagen. The higher the collagen, the younger you look! It also helps maintain great skin, which you all know by now is the perfect canvas for makeup!
So what is it like to use a microneedle roller? Well, beauties, I have an answer for you! So first of all, you definitely will feel it. It feels a little odd at first. You can definitely feel the micro needles prickling your skin. But as time goes on, and you use it more frequently, you become accustomed to that feeling, and it is not as noticeable.
How often should I use it? This is a question I am still navigating myself! Right now in my skincare routine, I am using my microneedle roller once a day for 3 days per week. I slowly incorporated this amount of times into my routines. I have been using my microneedle roller since February or so of this year, and it's now the end of 2023. I would recommend slowly incorporating this tool into your routine to see how your skin handles it.
What will my results be? This is an answer I myself cannot guarantee, but let me at least try to help you all out, beauties. So far with my use of a microneedle roller, I find that my acne-prone skin does clear up faster than without it. I believe that the roller is indeed stimulating collagen production to create a smoother result overall.
Now, depending on your skin type and needs, you may not get the same result as me. You may see results faster or slower. You may not see results at all! Unfortunately, I cannot make any guarantees with this time around. But, I feel that it is worth trying. I can personally say that in my 30s, my wrinkles look diminished compared to my 20s, where my wrinkles were really starting to show.
