I thought this would be a great topic to cover! I often find that a lot of my clients aren't drinking enough water, and this really does affect your makeup application!
So first let's talk about how much water is ENOUGH water! You should be drinking half your weight in ounces every day! For example, if you weigh 150 lbs, 75 ounces of water per day is enough to keep you hydrated! I know what you are thinking: wow that is a lot of water! Actually, it roughly adds up to the 8 glasses per day that is generally recommended!!
So why is this relevant? the number 1 reason is your health! I am not a licensed health professional, so I cannot add more information on this reason, but I can speak from personal experience. I noticed that once I started drinking enough water, my skin was so much softer and generally looked healthier. I also felt WAY better than before!
So now the big question: how is this directly related to your makeup?!
Well beauties, understand that because you drink enough water, your skin is hydrated! That's right beauties, hydration is BENEFICIAL for your skin! While moisturizer hydrates from the exterior, hydrating from the interior is more effective and really shows!
I can confirm with you that once you are drinking enough water, your makeup really does last longer! It also LOOKS better. If your skin is dehydrated, your makeup will look cake-y and will crack because your skin is absorbing any liquid in the products. The best way to prevent this from happening is to drink enough water!!!
So friends, start drinking enough water! I would say that you should give your body about a week to adapt. You will notice a difference in your skin. Your skin will have a softer appearance. When you wear makeup, you will notice that it won't cake and crack anymore!!
