Hi beauties! Let's talk lippies today! My brides often ask me which type of lipstick would be the best for the wedding day. I want to talk about each style and guide you on which one will work best for you on your wedding day.
Types of Lipstick
There are a few different types of lipstick. The types of lipstick are: matte, matte liquid, creme, and sheer.
1. Matte
Matte lipstick is a thick cream-based lipstick. Matte lipstick has a finish that lacks any shine. It is considered a long-lasting formula because of its dry formula.
2. Matte Liquid Lipstick
Matte liquid lipstick is a lipstick that lives in a tube and is applied with a brush. Matte liquid lipstick is considered the longest lasting formula because it dries on contact with the skin. This formula is very drying. Matte liquid lipstick does not have a cream base.
3. Creme Lipstick
Creme lipstick has a light, cream-based formula. Creme lipsticks are very comfortable to wear and often have somewhat of a shiny finish. They do not last as long as a matte or a matte liquid lipstick , but normally have a similar pigment.
4. Sheer Lipstick
Sheer lipstick is a transparent, cream-based formula. It only allows you to see a little bit of color with lots of shine-- not to be mistaken with lip gloss. Sheer lipstick is not long-lasting.
So which lipstick is best for you?
So here's the answer:
If you never ever wear lipstick, or aren't sure what you would be comfortable with, choose an option that is easy to wear!
I recommend trying out a creme or sheer lipstick. These options are the most comfortable to wear and have some shine! I will tell you upfront that you will need to touch them up. (No worries here beauties, because in 2020 I will be offering full-size lipsticks!! Stay tuned!)
