Hey beauties! Welcome back to Creative Contour By Carla™! Today's blog is a great one that will help you save money on your makeup products in the long run. The best way to do that is to learn how to use your makeup products in multiple ways. In the makeup artistry world, we call that "multi-use." In today's blog, I am going to give you a few examples, so let's get into it!!
Lipstick
Starting with the one everyone knows the most, lipstick is a serious multi-use product. Lipstick is well known to be used as an eyeshadow, blush, and of course its main purpose. I find that it's great when you're in a pinch, and need to have a bit more makeup for an event or whatever your plans may be! Always make sure you use a brush or very clean fingers to apply. I like to use a patting motion to apply the product, as this reduces the chances of creasing later on.
Mascara
Ooh, here's one I know none of you probably thought of! Mascara is common for solely being used as its sole purpose for enhancing eyelashes. But, you can also use it as an eyeliner, if necessary. A few things to consider for this: the type of mascara, ingredient fourmulation, your makeup experience level, and your tools on-hand. There are some great ways to really use this to your advantage if you don't have tons of makeup products.
Complexion Products
Ooooooh, beauties, am I ready to ruffle feathers!! So, complexion products can be used in multiple ways as well! Blush and bronzer can also be used as eye makeup. And your foundation? Well, it can also be your concealer, if it's the right fit. Oh boy, beauties, I know some of you are going to be shocked! Depending on your individual needs, you may not need both a foundation and a concealer. Especially those of you who use a stick foundation. It's a 2 in 1 product. You're welcome!
Skincare, sprays, and powders
Oh my gosh, beauties, now I am just giving away my knowledge!! So, you can use sprays (like setting spray), powders, and your skincare products as mixing mediums with your makeup, depending on what you are trying to achieve. Makeup artists do this all the time. There are certain ratios and formulations that work best, so I recommend booking a class with your favorite makeup artist (hi there), so you know exactly what to do!
Beauties, I hope you found this information helpful! I know when I tell my customers during their sessions about this information, they are totally in shock and awe! It's so fun to see, hehe! If you are ready to learn more, book your complimentary phone consult with Creative Contour By Carla today!
Lots of love, lipstick, and multi-use makeup,
